Kanjani8 announces countdown concerts!

It was announced earlier this month that Kanjani8 will be holding their own New Year countdown concerts this year. They have previously participated in the usual Johnny's Jimusho countdown event at the Tokyo Dome, but this will be their first time by themselves.

Kanjani8 will do three concerts at Osaka Dome, on December 30, 31, and January 1, with an expected total attendance of 135,000 fans. They will be the second Johnny's group to do a New Year's Eve concert at the Osaka Dome, after KinKi Kids performed there last year.

It was also announced that the group will release three singles next month on consecutive days. The first will be "GIFT ~Shiro~" on December 23, followed by "GIFT ~Aka~" on Christmas Eve and then "GIFT ~Midori~" on Christmas Day. Each will retail for 888 yen and include two or three tracks, for a total of 7 songs.

Yamashita Tomohisa's first Solo Concert
NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita (24) has scheduled his first solo concerts, to be held at Yokohama Arena this November. Just before that, he will also release a new solo single, his first in more than three years.

Yamashita's first single as a soloist was "Daite Senorita" in May 2006, used as the theme song of the drama series "Kurosagi." The song has sold more than 800,000 copies.

His new song is an R&B tune titled "Loveless." It will be released on November 18. Then, on November 21-23, he will do a total of five shows at the Yokohama Arena.

Well its a bit to late to anounce this but oh well -_-;

With the new album coming up it probably was expected that Kanjani8 will have a Tour. Johnny's net is anounced the tours data.

Kat-tun week of dome concerts! + video

The plans for the popular group "KAT-TUN" to have 7 continuous days of concerts (May 15 - 21) at Tokyo Dome have been revealed. The record for the most continuous days of concerts at Tokyo Dome since it was opened in 1988 is already held by KAT-TUN with 4 days. Knowing they'll be breaking their own record the members have said "They're letting us do something amazing" and "We want to do our best.", promising to work hard.

A new record will be formed in Tokyo Dome, a stadium that has seen many artists hold famous lives since it's opening in 1988. The holders of the record for the most continuous days of concerts there are KAT-TUN with 4 days. They'll renew that record with their own hands. From May 15th to 21st "KAT-TUN First in Concert History! Tokyo Dome The Immortal 1 Week of Concerts (temporary)" will be held on those seven days, with a total of 385,000 people coming to see the show.According to people involved, they planned to do this two years ago.

The schedule didn't work out well, but this time it was arranged to not interfere with the professional baseball tournaments. In December they were given the OK to continue with their plans. It is said that once confirming that they'd be using the Dome for 10 days including preparation time staff at Tokyo Dome were surprised and said "Will you really be using it?".Starting in Korakuen Stadium era in '81 with "3 Golden Balls Concert", Hikaru Genji had the very first concert in Tokyo Dome, and since then Johnny's Kinki Kids holds the record for the most concerts in Tokyo Dome at 34 times, and Hey! Say! JUMP holds the record for the youngest performers.

KAT-TUN first showed up there in '06. Last summer they made the record of 4 days.After hearing about the concerts the members were overjoyed. Kamenashi Kazuya (22) said "We'll want to think of something that nobody's done before, and using all of our strengths pull it off." Taguchi Junnosuke said "It's a record we'll make together with the fans. We'll make it so a record ((Japanese: kiroku)) and memories ((Japanese: kioku)) are left behind." with a smile.The person who planned it all, company president Johnny Kitagawa said decidedly "Their costumes and what songs are sung will change every day." On top of that, every day there will be things like drawings to get the audience involved. They even have plans to use new machinery for the stage, which will make them set another record.

On the first day,Holding a concert(Party) which we have not done for a long time, I'm very happy! Once again, I feel that this is a great job! When I smile, everyone will smile at me too. I'm Nishikido Ryo. Tour, has begun ne. Is everyone of Sendai happy? I'm really happy. After Sendai ended, everyone went to eat cow's tongue together. Ate happily with the members <3
Although we will go to various places from now on too, It would be great if we can be as happy as this (heart)Fukui is the day before my birthday.Sou desu ne.
